Hi, My name is Ken Lewis. I'm an award winning photographer and a videographer.
I'm a Native Nevadan, living my whole life in the Reno Tahoe area. I have lived in Washoe Valley for 40 years where I also raised my family. I live 3 blocks from where I grew up. My family has been a part of this area since the 1800's, living in the mining towns of Bodie and Virginia City, Ranching in Ely and Yerington and a company assisting Freemont on his adventures.
I have had a passion for photography for as long as I can remember. I asked for my first camera when I was 8 years old. That was the start of my self-taught, life long passion for capturing memories and moments of time through photographs. I didn’t realize at that time, but the photographs I loved to capture then are the same ones I love to photograph today; people and landscapes. I have always photographed people from the early days of school, as a member of the yearbook staff in high school, as the unit photographer while in the Marines, photographing jobs for every business I've worked for and then in 2008 when I went full time with my own photography studio.
My love for photographing people came from wanting to capture the great times with friends and family. This soon moved into photographing Weddings. I started wedding photography when I was in high school while working at a local photography store.
I think everybody has a love for Nature, me included. Camping and backpacking was always a part of my life and photographing this beauty is something I have a passion for. This passion has continued to grow as I travel; enjoying nature and Capturing more great images.
